We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to the post of Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service, Social Work Team Lead for Renfrewshire HSCP. You will provide leadership and ongoing management support across all aspects of the role, participate in HSCP Adult Protection Duty Team and will be responsible to the Service Manager/Operational Manager.
This is a significant role within Renfrewshire HSCP Adult Services and Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services management team structures. You will also be part of the wider NHSGGC Alcohol & Drug Services network.
This position is critical to the delivery of safe, effective recovery-oriented care and treatment, and has an essential leadership role in the implementation of MAT Standards, local and national strategies. The Team Lead is therefore required to be enthusiastic, recovery focused, have experience of managing adult support and protection work and be able to manage change and risk.
It Is essential you have effective analytical, assessment, communication, report writing and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage change in the delivery of organisational restructure. Experience working in an alcohol and drug service with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services is essential as well as a Degree/Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent) or degree in a relevant subject.
You must have experience of staff supervision and the ability to lead a team, have practical working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation; of managing adult support and protection work and working within a risk framework and experience of working in a drug and alcohol operational setting with direct experience in applying organisational policies and procedures.
You must also have extensive knowledge of person-centred planning and a keyworker role and be able to support staff in developing their personal skills to promote good practice through supervision and training.
