PRINCIPAL PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
This is an exciting opportunity to develop our range of Early Intervention Services in Clackmannanshire. The role will include the development of Family Group Decision making and family supports, as well as developing string community links to ensure that families can access whole family support at the earliest opportunity. Extensive partnership working will be required as you help drive change in this innovative part of our service.
Clackmannanshire Children’s Services are committed to securing the best wellbeing outcomes for children and families. We are committed to a Practice Model where developing and sustaining relationships are fundamental to how we provide a service. We believe that children and families should experience stability and continuity of Children’s Services with limited ‘handovers’ to other teams. This requires all of our teams to be adaptable, flexible and open to developing a broad knowledge base across all aspects of statutory Children’s Services. Being service-led is essential in the Team Leader position where flexible leadership across the teams enables a smooth seamless service that is responsive to the needs of the community we serve.
Team Leaders lead generic Children & Families Teams across the Service, but they are required to be champions in key statutory areas of responsibility, based on the needs of the service, matched to knowledge, experience, skills and demonstration of a ‘passion’ in critical areas of service delivery e.g. Permanence, Children with Disabilities, Through Care & After Care, Family Group Decision Making and Youth Justice. This approach fits with our scale and our commitment to a highly responsive, diverse and flexible service that wraps around the needs of the child and family as opposed to fitting into rigid services models.
The Team Leader will provide leadership, vision, direction and effective management of their area, fostering and encouraging a culture of high quality customer service, respect, partnership and collaboration, as well as quality assurance, governance, continuous improvement and innovation.
The Team Leader, as a Lead Officer, is expected to work collaboratively externally with other agencies / stakeholders and internally with other Team Leaders, lead officers, senior managers and Directors to support the overall strategic and operational leadership of areas ensuring that service delivery is of the highest quality resulting in the best possible outcomes for children and families, while being ‘fit’ for purpose.
