Support Worker – Young Person's Service

£19,189 – £21,026 (£9.95 – £10.90 per hour)

Newark, Nottinghamshire

I am looking for Support Workers to work with young people in a service which supports tenants to build their skills, confidence and independence, along with helping them to access permanent accommodation, education, employment and training.

In this post you will be:

* Helping with tenancy maintenance such as cleaning or budgeting

* Managing behaviours that challenge

* Following and reviewing support plans

* Maintaining records through IT systems or paper records

* Supporting practical activities such as shopping

* Supporting and encouraging activities such as football, sports and social activities

For this fabulous role you will need:

• Experience of working with young people

• An understanding of the needs of people from diverse backgrounds

• An understanding of the impact of childhood trauma

• The ability to manage challenging behaviours

• Flexibility – working on a rota basis means you will need to be flexible over a 7 day rota. The service operates 24/7, however day shifts are either 08:00 – 15:30 or 14:30 – 22:00.
