Experienced Support Worker Needed to work in residential settings in the Wirral and surrounding areas
Your new company
Hays Social Care are looking for an experienced support worker to work in a residential setting in the Wirral. This is on a temporary basis covering a range of days shifts and night shifts. The service is for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health. They currently have a higher need for cover due to sickness, annual leave and open vacancies.
Your new role
You will be supporting adults on a 1:1 basis with their day to day lives. Depending on the shift, you will support with morning/night time routine, supporting with meal times, personal care including washing and toileting, taking out into the community for walks, swimming and other activities. You will assist service users with independent life skills and encourage them to make their own decisions. The role changes from day to day depending on who you are supporting.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must have 6 months recent experience as well as be flexible to work different shifts patterns. You will need experience in similar settings and most importantly you must be reliable to provide consistency for service users. You will be willing to pick up shifts last minute if you are available.
