Temporary positions available working in homeless hostels across Chester – Days and Nights Available
Your new company
Hays Social Care are working closely with a company that need support in their homeless hostels in the Chester and Ellesmere Port area. The company provide support me and women who are either homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, supporting them with temporary accommodation, mental health support and helping them to get back on their feet. Homelessness is on the rise, and this company are in need of reliable support workers who can work flexibly each week.
Your new role
You will be supporting customers with housing needs, advising them with any queries they may have, supporting with their mental health and well being and supporting with day to day running of the hostels. The role may include some lone working, as well as working in some more challenging settings, supporting people with complex needs, drug/alcohol addictions and mental health conditions. You will support in a non-judgemental and empathetic way.
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with homeless adults, working with people with mental health conditions or working with people who have drug/alcohol addictions.
You must be flexible and ideally able to work at the last minute to cover sicknesses and unplanned absences.
You will be able to either long days or waking nights.
If you have an update service DBS, immediate starts are possible.
