Your new role
Your potential new role as a female Support Worker requires you to be passionate, committed and understanding towards the individual you will be supporting and their needs. You will need to be passionate about your role and committed to fulfilling your tasks as a Support Worker. You will be aiding the service user towards an independent lifestyle with the necessary skills they need in order to integrate smoothly into society. You will need to build a rapport with individuals based on respect and honesty. You must at all times work within clear professional boundaries and work within the organisations code of conduct. In this role you will encourage the young adult to find out about local services and facilities within their community and facilitate access to alternative services where specific needs are identified. We are seeking Support Workers that are in the Leamington Spa area, are flexible and willing to work 30-40 hours a week with an immediate start. This role requires you to be passionate about helping people and transforming lives to achieve fairness in society.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role as a Support Worker you must be open to a certain extent, patient and connected with your team, the role and the individuals you support. You should be able to help the young person reach their personal goals and learn skills they would need to live an independent life with aid of a care plan. You must be able to identify and analyse discrimination, racism, inequality, and injustice and find the appropriate solution for these issues. You should be able to monitor the behaviour of the residents and report any changes you notice. You will be assisting the service user with personal care tasks including meal prep and maintaining personal hygiene if required. As you will be a part of a team, as a team member, sharing information and supporting colleagues is a regular part of the role. You must be able to be a functioning and valuable asset to the team. You must have evidence of experience in the social care sector, alongside references and an updated DBS. Training is desirable but not essential as Hays provide free online training. Overall to succeed you must be committed to your role and eager to make a difference. You must be fully vaccinated with the adequate proof to work in this organisation.
