Your new company
My client is a large leading nationwide charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. They have been providing support, guidance and advice for over 60 years. They are looking for candidates who have a passion for supporting people on the autism spectrum and their families.
Your new role
In your new role you will be part of a team that work to support 3 service users in a homely and social environment. The home is tailored to suit the needs on the service users and the team are dedicated to support and care for the individuals day and night.
In this job you will be required to administer care to individuals on various levels – this can include personal care and feeding.
You will work to help maintain service users independence by encouraging them to do things for themselves and guide them through every day acts.
The home is large, with communal lounges and a full and dining room. There is also outside areas, with a swing.
My client is looking for a long term position to be filled on a temporary basis, for someone who is flexible for 29 hours a week, over a variety of shifts, across 7 days.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this job you will need to have a minimum of 6 months experience in the last 2 years working in a similar setting.
You will need to be compassionate by nature and have a positive attitude, with a desire to help those who are on the autistic spectrum.
You will need to be eligible to work in the UK and will be subject to a DBS provided by Hays.
