Support worker
Hays Social Care are working with some of the leading organisations in the country, based in Oxford and the surrounding areas. Our clients provide vulnerable individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to have fulfilled lives and gain further independence.
We will offer you consistent work, either full or part-time in a variety of fantastic settings, so you decide when you work, and how many hours you work. We work with children and young adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism, and other various complex needs in either residential or supported living settings. You will be supporting these individuals with days out and activities, food preparation, personal care, social activities and helping them to access the community.
You will be supporting people to work towards personal goals and needs. Our clients work closely with each individual and their families to make sure each care programme is carefully personalised; including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, guided leisure time, vocational training and independent living skills where needed.
Most activities will tend to be either one to one or in small groups and involve social events, plenty of trips out and accessing to the community. You Will Need: – Experience with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs – Professional Attitude – Passionate about Care – A Willingness to Travel – You must be organised, a good communicator and self-motivated. – Drivers are desirable but not necessary
