Support Worker – Bank Shifts – Port Talbot
Your new company
Our client is looking for compassionate and caring support workers to help fill bank shifts and staff absence in the Aberavon area of Port Talbot. They need people who are passionate about supporting individuals with complex learning and physical disabilities and show genuine enjoyment in providing care for individuals.
Your new role
Your new job will include helping with cooking/preparing meals; housekeeping/laundry, accompanying the people we support at social, leisure, recreational activities, hobbies as well as providing personal care.
Every person in the service is an individual and both the client and service user will look to you to work in a safe and professional way.
The individuals in this service have varying and complex learning disabilities and can sometimes display challenging behaviour and require personal care.
The role will be covering 10 hours shifts from 8 am – 6pm across 7 days a week, but you should be flexible for other shifts to be given.
Full PPE is provided as well as daily temperature checks and weekly covid tests to help reduce the risk and spread of Covid -19.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have 6 months experience in the last 2 years, as well as a passion for providing care for individuals who are in need of support.
You will need to be flexible and have a good working attitude, with an openness to get stuck in.
