You will work as part of the care home staff team providing practical support in the day to day running of the care home. You will require to work anywhere within the care home and grounds as directed.

Key duties of the post include carrying out light maintenance within the home and gardens, identifying and reporting repairs, undertaking  health and safety checks , stock control and general tasks.

We are looking for a motivated person with a flexible approach to work,  the successful candidate will take appropriate responsibility for the implementation of Council Health and Safety Policy to ensure that the Heath and Safety at Work Act and associated regulations are observed within the home.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
