Supervisor/Team Leader – Mental Health Full Time

Your new company
Edinburgh Support service is a long standing mental health service registered with the Care Inspectorate covering the North East part of Edinburgh providing Housing Support services. The service currently supports 32 service users throughout Edinburgh delivering mental health and practical support. The service currently operates over 7 days per week between the hours of 8 am and 6pm. The service supports/prompts 4 clients with their medication.

Your new role
To supervise the day to day delivery of service provision and plan with and supervise staff including staffing rota’s and support a small staff team (7wte) delivering mental health support to individuals within their own homes. Your hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would be a values driven individual with previous supervisory experience in care, preferably within a mental health housing support service. They would have a minimum qualification of SVQ level 3 in care and have experience of risk assessment, understand relevant legislation and care standards and have a working knowledge of adult support & protection best practice. They would have some previous experience of offering supervision to junior staff and rota planning. The worker would have good skills to communicate effectively with Service users and key stakeholders. A good standard of I/T and communication skills would be advantageous.
