Hays Social Care are working with an outstanding care provider based in Stroud. Our client has a 4-bedded rehabilitation and recovery service for males and females aged between 17 and 24 years with complex mental health and risk-taking behaviours.
This provision is part of our client’s Transitional Living Services for Young People and Young Adults, offering individuals the best possible care in their recovery journey.
We expect our employees to have a nurturing and therapeutic approach to the care of our residents. You will be helping teach daily skills and be an emotional support and mentor for the young people. Individual therapy informs the wider treatment plan, collaboratively developing clear and precise plans with the young person, to help them achieve their goals.
Our client offers a viable alternative to a hospital or secure setting. Achieving this through a high ratio of care, which enables a robust and proactive approach to risk management, whilst supporting people to engage with meaningful activity in the community.
Along with the supporting of residents, you would also help with the housework and cooking in the home to ensure it is a nurturing and safe environment.
You will need to be:
– Able to provide details of least six months experience in a similar setting – Person-centred, experienced, and confident – Able to bring your own skills and talents to the role to enhance resident’s lives – Able to work in partnership other professionals. – Able to support the residents to maximise their life chances – Be Health and safety aware at all times – Driver desirable but not essential
