Speech And Language Therapist – Kent Permanent NEW

Shire Healthcare are currently sourcing a Speech and Language Therapist for one of our specialist clients based in Kent. Based within a specialist educational setting, the successful Speech and Language Therapist will support children and young people with severe learning disabilities, ASD and associated challenging needs.

This role is suitable for both band 5 and 6 Speech and Language Therapists.

This is a full-time permanent position although part-time applicants are welcome to apply.

The role:

* Working as part of a multidisciplinary team

* Managing and prioritising and complex caseload of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs

* Undertaking comprehensive assessments

* Planning, implementing and evaluating interventions

* Supporting and providing advice to carers/family members and the wider staff team within the school

The ideal Speech and Language Therapist:

* Holds a relevant Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy

* HCPC registered

* Experience of working with children and young people with similar presentations
