The Specialist Dementia & Mental Health Lead will provide strategic clinical and operational leadership to Age UK NT specialist dementia services and those associated with supporting people with other cognitive impairments in later life.
They will work with key stakeholders to develop and deliver the Age UK North Tyneside’s Mental Health & Wellbeing in Later Life Strategy as well as having potential to work in partnership with Dementia UK.
The post holder is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and is pivotal in ensuring that positive outcomes for customers and staff are achieved.
They will maximise the use of their clinical expertise and in line with the Admiral Nurse Competency framework will work at an advanced specialist level demonstrating: Expert clinical practice, Professional leadership, and consultancy, Education, training, and research ,Practice and service development, research, and evaluation, ensure high quality safe care delivery as well as innovative service development based on evidence-based practice within a rapidly changing context of care
