Social Workers – Child Care Management Full Time

Your new role

To carry out social work tasks related to assessments, care planning, and the development of support packages to promote the welfare of children. Social workers in the Child Care Management Teamwork with complex situations and the ability to manage risky behaviours within a multi-disciplinary framework is essential the team are adapting work practices to that of ‘agile’ working, the ability to work autonomously whilst ensuring adherence to safe working policies and supervision policies is important.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Social work qualification
• Registration as a social worker with the Care Council for Wales
• Good time management skills & be able to maintain accurate and clear records using Care First.
• Experience of childcare and related work
• Practical knowledge of the relevant Children Acts, related guidance, and the framework for the assessment of Children in need and their families.
• To be able to represent the department positively through attitude, role and actions, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to anti-oppressive practices and equal opportunities
