West Lothian Council’s Criminal and Youth Justice Service, have an exciting opportunity to recruit two full time Social Workers to the Community Payback Order team. This dynamic team is responsible for the supervision of Court Orders for all individuals over the age of twenty-one, with the successful candidates being expected to manage a diverse, complex and challenging caseload. While primarily based within the Community Payback Order team, the successful candidates will however be expected to work across the wider Criminal and Youth Justice Teams to meet the exigencies of the service. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
