Children and Disabilities Team, Woodlea Cottage, Perth
The position of social worker is in a front line Children with Disabilities team. This team covers all of Perth and Kinross Area and works with some of the most vulnerable children in our society.
The social work role will require you to hold a caseload which could vary from issues specific to child protection, Looked After children, Section 23 assessments, monitoring SDS packages of support and supporting vulnerable children, young people and their families in the community.
This role also involves writing a variety of reports and liaising with partner agencies to identify and meet need through the Child’s Plan.
Please be advised that it is anticipated that interviews for this post will take place on 20 October 2020.
You will be a qualified social worker with experience in child care social work.
Preferably you will also have experience working with children who have Additional Needs and their families.
You will be well-organised, able to prioritise and manage competing demands, assertive and clear in your communication. You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written reports and have a clear understanding of the needs of vulnerable children and families.
You will have a commitment to continuous professional development and have, or be willing to work towards, your Graduate Certificate in Child Welfare and Protection.
