We are looking for qualified Social Workers who, like us, are committed to making a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families. Within Children’s services we want to ensure that the city invests in early family support and parenting. We are determined to ensure the whole of the GCHSCP, in tandem with colleagues in Education, is coordinated for the maximum benefit of every family. We want to significantly improve the experience of children and young people in our care and utilise all of the strengths within the wider family and wider community. Our determination is to secure better outcomes and positive destinations for all. As a Partnership we want to shift the balance of care and ensure we invest maximum resource and maximum effort in helping families to stay together. We are seeking energetic, talented, resilient and committed social workers to secure these outcomes. Applicants must either – possess a Degree / Diploma in Social Work or equivalent or be Social Worker students due to qualify before 30th June 2021 and be registered with SSSC as a Social Worker (or within 6 months of taking up a post).

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
