A fixed term vacancy has arisen for a full-time Social Worker in the Strathearn & Kinross Fieldwork Team. Our office is based in Auchterarder and we cover an area that includes Auchterader, Crieff and Kinross. Due to the fact that our locality includes rural areas, it is essential that you have a full driving license.
You will carry a varied caseload. The post offers the opportunity to undertake child protection risk assessments and work with Looked After Children living at home and those who are accommodated. In addition, you will be involved in parenting support and care planning. You will be expected to work in line with the principles of “Getting it Right for Every Child” putting inter-agency working at the forefront of your practice. There are resources and services available to you to support your work with children and young people, who will range from age 0-18.
You should have excellent report writing skills, the ability to prioritise your workload and be able to meet timescales. You will also be an effective communicator and be able to work collaboratively with key partners, children and their families. We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Social Worker to join our team with a genuine interest in supporting children and their families. Your values should include respect, patience and compassion, and you must be able to maintain confidentiality in your role.
