Social Worker, South Locality Team (PKC07680)
£37,559 – £40,487 (Fixed term for up to 12 months)

You will assist in maintaining vulnerable people in the community by providing a range of social work and care management tasks. These include carrying out Outcome Focussed Assessments, the negotiation of flexible packages of care, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages. Responsibilities will also include statutory work under the Adults with Incapacity Act and the Adult Support and Protection Act.
Due to the wide rural geographic area covered within Perth & Kinross, you must have a driving licence and access to a car.
This post may be suitable for candidates who have recently completed their Social Work Degree but have not yet graduated. In this circumstance, a Social Work Assistant contract will be offered until you receive your qualifying certificate and are eligible to register with the SSSC as a Social Worker.
Responsibilities will also include statutory work under the Adults with Incapacity Act and the Adult Support and Protection Act.
The successful applicant will also have responsibility for providing a specialist resource within Community Care through the development of knowledge and experience in care areas of practice and to carry responsibility for cases with a high level of need, the complexity of which social work experience, knowledge and skills
