Your new role
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough are looking for 4 a full time Qualified Social workers to work across the Boroughs 6 community social work teams. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are flexible, innovative and have a proven track record of partnership working, with a can-do approach. The service aims to improve the outcomes of residents in Sandwell by;
* Enabling/facilitating timely discharges from hospital
* Monitoring and facilitating timely discharges from intermediate care provisions
* Offering alternatives to hospital admissions
* Supporting people to return to independent living.
* Complete work in a timely manner/& adhere to deadline, timescales and Sandwell Policies and Procedures
You will be required to work as part of a team and deliver an enhanced customer experience that promotes the wellbeing of vulnerable adults to enable them to live in their own homes independently for longer, supporting them in retaining and regaining their skills and confidence
Hours 37 hours per week and required to work the core hours of the business, Monday to Thursday 9.00-5.30 pm and Fridays 9.00-5.00pm. Pay £25.00 per hour. The location is currently home-based working; however, you will be required to complete some home/community visits in Sandwell following a dynamic risk assessment of the needs of the visit. Access to own lap top and mobile phone would be beneficial and candidates need to be readily available to start.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 years experience working with adults in a Senior Social Work Practitioner position and have experience of supervising staff or students
