Social Worker – Planned Care (Children Specialism) Full Time

Your new role

You will support children & young people at risk to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be. Acknowledging their right to protection & will take action to safeguard their welfare & well-being. You will assist individuals & families to deal with matters which cause them difficulties in daily living. You will achieve this by promoting people’s self-worth & rights, so that they can make clear decisions about themselves & their possible impact on others such as family, friends etc.

What you’ll need to succeed

• DBS
• Degree in Social Work or other equivalent qualification
• Working knowledge of Part 4 and 6 of the SSWBA
• Registered with Social Care Wales
• Experience of developing good working relationships with Service users
• Welsh language (support given & funded to reach desirable level)
• Ability to work as part of a team

* The ability to work effectively from home, including good quality reliable broadband speed
