Location:  Len Ironside Centre
Duration: Permanent/ Part time – 15h per week

About the role:
To deliver a statutory social work service operating as part of the Out of Hours Service, providing an effective and efficient response to referred urgent social problems in all service user groups.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

• Professional Social Work qualification (ie DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
• SSSC Registration
• PVG Membership for Regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made

The post holder will be expected to:

• Travel as required in relation to the needs of the service
• When required, work beyond midnight, in the office and in the field, including 
  driving at night with and without passengers, and to be on-call at home after 
  an evening shift until 8.30am the next day
• Work in accordance with Adult, Child and Public Protection principles and 
  procedure

  advice and support as necessary
• Ability to use financial resources appropriately
• Counselling and support skills
