Job Title: Child and Family Social Worker (CSW)
9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Family Social Worker to join my client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and intervention to children and families in need, ensuring their well-being and safeguarding. You will work collaboratively with families, community organizations, and other professionals to create positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
* Develop and implement individual care plans and intervention strategies.
* Provide direct support to children and families through home visits and counselling.
* Liaise with schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies to coordinate services.
* Advocate for children’s rights and ensure their voices are heard.
* Monitor and review cases regularly, adapting plans as necessary.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of casework and interventions.
* Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development activities.
* Stay informed about current legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
Qualifications:
* Recognized qualification in Social Work (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
* Registration with Social Work England (or relevant regulatory body).
* Previous experience in child and family social work is desirable.
* Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment.
* Empathy, resilience, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of specific therapeutic interventions for children and families.
* Experience in managing complex cases and developing multi-agency partnerships.
