Social Worker, Justice Social Work, Uists & Barra (5304) – CNS04271 Part Time

Job Description

This post covers the core duties in Justice Social Work Services including the preparation of reports to the Court and the supervision of offenders on statutory orders. You should be appropriately qualified (DipSW or equivalent) and have a genuine interest in working with offenders. The postholder will contribute to the wider Social Work services to support business continuity as required. The post is a 29.6 hour post based in Balivanich Council Offices.

Requirements

You will be a good team worker, committed to working productively and effectively with a range of statutory and voluntary organisations. Travel throughout the Western Isles will be a requirement of the post. Mainland travel may be needed on occasion. Driving Licence, PVG Scheme Record and registration with SSSC are essential.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
