Post Title:     Social Worker (Fostering and Adoption)
Location:      Broadford
Hours:          17.5 Hours Per Week 
Duration:     Permanent
Salary:         £18,573 – £20,111 p.a.

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:  

• Ensuring that National Standards in Fostering & Adoption are met.
• Recruiting, assessing, supporting and training Foster Carers and Prospective Adopters Working with carers to implement Child Plans and Permanency Plans.
• This post will involve office duty to provide placements and support carers and may involve doing emergency Social Work.
• Providing Adoption Support post adoption
• Undertaking adoption counselling with adults who have been affected by adoption

Requirements

CQSW, DipSW, or other fieldwork qualification recognised by SSSC.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service
