Social Worker – Family Placement – CLA03487 Part Time

Job Description

The Family Placement Team comprises of three registered services: fostering; adoption; and adult placement (continuing care).

We are seeking a motivated and experienced practitioner to contribute to the development of our adoption service in particular. The successful candidate will have experience working within an adoption service, or considerable experience of permanence planning for children moving to adoptive families.

This is a great time to be joining our team following our redesign and investment within the Family Placement Service. We have a clear vision for the future of our services underpinned by the foundations of The Promise, and the learning from the National Care Review. Our service has moved forward at pace over the last twelve months, and we are seeking an individual who is both creative and ambitious in contributing to the development of this part of our service.

This post is part time (17.5 hours per week), there will be some expectation of occasional evening working to support facilitation of support groups and training.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council.
