Salary: £32,123 – £38,340
Hours : 36 per week

Creative, enthusiastic, emotionally resilient, preferably experienced, social workers sought to join the busy South East Locality, which is made up of a number of teams based at South Neighbourhood Office, Captains Road, Edinburgh and NHS facilities across the city.

The locality has assessment, care management and reviewing responsibility for a range of service users including older people, those with disabilities, both physical and learning, and mental health problems who live in South East Edinburgh.

The locality also hosts a city-wide team that specialises in working with service users in care homes across and outwith Edinburgh. The various locality teams manage many complex cases, individual and large-scale adult protection investigations.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
