Requirements

You will have a Social Work Degree, CQSW, Dip SW, CSS (with appropriate option).

Responsibilities

You will assist in maintaining vulnerable people in the community by providing a range of care management tasks. These include the assessment of individual need, the negotiation of flexible packages of care, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages.

The Individual

You will have working knowledge and experience of risk and needs assessments. You will have experience and knowledge of Adult Support and Protection procedures and an
interest in working with adults who suffer from severe and enduring mental illness with a sound knowledge of community care services.

You will have good communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to assess needs of adults with mental health problems. You will have the ability to prioritise workloads and meet challenges and deadlines.

You have the ability to register with Scottish Social Services Council within specified timescale.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
