1x Qualified Social Worker needed – Connected Persons Fostering team

Your new role

As a social worker for Coventry City Council’s connected persons fostering team, you will be responsible for a mixed case load of connected persons fostering and special guardianship assessments alongside the supervision of support of connected persons foster carers who are already caring for a child.

You will work closely with other social workers from the local authority to make sure the best outcome is achieved for the children and families.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful, you will be an experienced social worker – completed ASYE plus at least 1 year post qualifying experience -, registered with Social Work England. As a future social worker for the adoption team in Coventry City Council, you will have knowledge of relevant children’s and adoption legislation. Knowledge of statutory guidelines and current thinking on good practice is also required – along with experience within an fostering team.
