Social worker for community teams in Sandwell, remote working with immediate start paying £28:00 per hour

An exciting job opportunity has opened within Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council for a qualified social worker to join the Sandwell community team on a ongoing contract basis.
Your new role
As a qualified social worker you will be working in a fast-paced environment across 6 community teams, in the highly sought-after Sandwell community team. You will be working as part of a team to deliver an enhanced customer experience that promotes the wellbeing of vulnerable adults to enable them to live in their own homes independently for longer, supporting them in retaining and regaining their skills and confidence.
Day to day duties will include:
You will be required to work 37 hours per week and the core hours of the business, Monday to Thursday 9.00-5.30 pm and Fridays 9.00-5.00pm. The location is currently home-based working; however, you will be required to complete some home/community visits in Sandwell following a dynamic risk assessment of the needs of the visit.
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous direct experience of delivering social work to Adult Service users is essential. You must also have knowledge of key legislation underpinning Social Work, able to produce reports and maintain records. This is an immediate start role, so access to own laptop and mobile phone would be beneficial.
To be successful, you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent).
It is also essential that you have a current professional registration with Social Work England (previously HCPC) and have a minimum of 6 months experience working with adults in a Social Work position within the last 2 years.
