Your new role
To provide high quality assessment and/or care management to children and families who have been assessed as requiring ongoing intervention. To review intervention within statutory timescales ensuring plans for children are achieving the identified outcomes. To develop effective, outcome focussed intervention plans in consultation with children and young people themselves, and with their parents or carers, to safeguard their welfare, address risk and ensure that these plans are fully implemented and regularly reviewed.
Type of environment
You will be joining a friendly, well established, busy and motivated Team. You will be assessing, supporting, supervising & reviewing General Foster Carers, alongside completing Connected Persons Assessments of family members or close friends as kinship (relative) carers for a child who cannot, or may not be able to remain with their birth family.
What you’ll need to succeed You will need excellent assessment and analysis skills and the ability to engage and communicate effectively with Foster Carers, their families and children who are looked after, with a focus on wellbeing and safety of children. You will be able to support and guide Foster Carers to build on their holistic skills. You will be skilled in developing and sustaining effective multi-agency working and closely collaborate with professionals of every discipline. With a remit spanning the assessment and support of connected persons, you’re guaranteed different challenges every day.
