Senior Qualified Social Worker job for Childrens Disability Team in Solihull MBC, £33.30ph, hybrid, contract

As Solihull MBC’s preferred supplier – we receive their vacancies before anyone else! -, I am looking for 1x qualified social worker to join the Children Disabilities team.

Your new role

As a senior social worker for the Children Disabilities team in Solihull MBC, your main aim will be to carry out and review plans for children with complex needs and disabilities. You will implement extensive interventions for parents, carers, child protection cases, children in need and looked after children. You will engage and work with families, other professionals in the field, with a multidisciplinary approach to achieve optimal outcomes for children, young people and families.

As a social worker for the Children Disabilities team, you will be based at Elmwood Place, B36 0UG.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful, you will be an experienced social worker – completed ASYE plus 2-year experience within a similar team -, registered with Social Work England. As a future children’s social worker, you will have knowledge of relevant children’s legislation and Social Care provision. Knowledge of statutory guidelines and current thinking on good practice is also required. You will be very committed, motivated, and well-organised, and you will be able to prioritise tasks to achieve goals and meet deadlines.

Also, you will be a driver with access to your own car.
