SW Locums Clients are seeking a Social Work England Registered Social Worker to work in the Corporate Parenting Team in Walsall. This role involves managing a caseload of 8-10 cases, acting as a senior member of staff, and ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work. In office 2 days per week.
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate parenting or safeguarding court work is essential.
* Right to work in the UK
* Registration with Social Work England
* Enhanced DBS or registered with DBS Update Service
* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing social work practice.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive social work support within the Corporate Parenting framework.
* Manage a caseload of 8-10 children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are upheld.
* Act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
* Engage in safeguarding court work, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices. Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to promote the welfare of children and ensure their safety.
