The Investigations team is based at Bellevue House, Springfield Terrace, Arbroath and covers Angus and the surrounding area.
The team provides a time limited service to children and young people for whom there are Child Protection concerns. The role involves working in partnership with families and other services to share/gather information, carry out assessments and respond to any concerns for the child to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Key tasks are communicating with children and young people (including carrying out Joint Investigative Interviews with our police colleagues) supporting families who are often in crisis, and generally providing a trauma informed, rights based and person-centred service.
In addition, the team plays a wider role in promoting effective Child Protection practice across Angus and there will be opportunities to become involved in this work.
