Your new company
Dorset is looking to expand their community by welcoming enthusiastic qualified social workers to bring variety of new skills and fresh experiences. You will be working as a part of one of the local authority teams, based in both hospital and community settings. This gives you the unique opportunity to choose the team that is more in line with Your profile and experience. Different contract types and working patterns/hours are also available to suit your preferences.

Your new role
You will be completing various assessments of the needs of vulnerable individuals and their families, helping them handle everyday life problems. Depending on Your specific team, you will be responsible for different tasks such as undertaking and writing up assessments, analysing complex information, carrying out inspections, maintaining accurate records.

The following skills are key for Your success: Excellent communication skills, Critical thinking and professional reasoning, Ability to work in stressful and demanding situations, an understanding of diversity and how it affects practice, Ability to co-operate and work well with others, Experience of providing professional reflective supervision For social worker roles you will need to have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and be registered with Social Work England.
