Job Description

The Western Isles offers a superb quality of life in beautiful surroundings. Although apparently remote, Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh are less than an hour away using regular daily flights. We have a committed team of management and staff and our size means we can offer you a unique range of management experiences across a range of disciplines in Health and Social Care.

 

Under the direction of the Chief Social Work Officer and Service Manager, you will undertake assessment and care management and other Social Work responsibilities including liaison with health, private and voluntary agencies.  This will include support in providing pandemic response oversight for care homes. 

Requirements

You will hold a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent and have an up to date knowledge of Community Care legislation and practice.  It is essential that you are able to communicate clearly, have good interpersonal skills and hold a full, unrestricted driving licence. 

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.  Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade.

Appointment to the post is fixed term for 12 months.
