We are seeking to recruit a Grade 7 Social Worker to join us in Mental Health Services for Older People. You will be promoting mental health care for adults living with dementia and people diagnosed with mental ill health over 65 years. You will also work closely with the Young Onset Dementia Service and Local Authority community teams. Your aim is to support vulnerable adults to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be are professionally assessed. Investigate, evaluate, and analyse information on cases, demonstrating clarity of assessment, reliability of information, evidence conclusions and realistic action plans. The quality of practice will be supported by regular supervision. Training opportunities, tools, and resources readily available to assist in the day-to-day work. The services are committed to ensuring the safety and protection of all children and vulnerable adults, and will take action to safeguard their well-being, and acknowledge that children and vulnerable adults have a right to protection. What you’ll need to succeed
* Degree in Social Work or other equivalent qualification
* Experience of managing a caseload of ranging complexity and problems, and competing demands
* Experience of working with the Mental Health Act 1983 amended 2007
* Experience of working with people with Mental ill health
* Registered with Social Care Wales
* Experience of developing good working relationships with Service users
* Welsh language (desirable)
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Full valid driving licence and the use of a vehicle
