Your new role
As a qualified social worker, you will be working in a fast-paced environment across one of the 6 community teams across Birmingham. You will be working as part of a team to deliver an enhanced customer experience that promotes the well-being of vulnerable adults to enable them to live in their own homes independently for longer, supporting them in retaining and regaining their skills and confidence
Day to day duties will include:
In this position you will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment and have recently worked as a qualified Adults Social Worker with experience in keeping and maintaining accurate records. You will have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable to pick up new and existing cases. It is imperative that you have an in depth understanding and be able to manage any challenges with appropriate methods which will vary from case to case.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent).
It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 6 months experience working with adults in a Social Work position within the last 2 years, however we encourage newly qualified social workers to apply.
Previous direct experience of delivering social work to Adult Service users is essential. You must also have knowledge of key legislation, able to produce reports and maintain records.
Knowledge of ‘CareFirst’ and the 3 conversations model desirable but not essential.
