An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Older Peoples Team in West Dunbartonshire HSCP for a full time social work assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in undertaking needs led assessments, devising interventions, while responding to and managing risk for both citizens and their representatives. An understanding of the current pressures experienced in the Health and Social Care sector is essential as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This is a challenging and rewarding role which will require the successful candidate to work in a multi-disciplinary setting, consulting with citizens and their representatives to ensure their needs and rights are promoted while practicing within policy and legislative frameworks. Experience of working with Older People and Adults within community settings is desirable.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
