Sandwell Council are responsible for housing thousands of people every year and are currently looking at expanding their teams in order to tackle the current pandemic.
Your new role
Your new role as a Housing Solutions Officer will be to provide an effective professional person centred approach to the prevention and relief of homelessness. You will also be required to undertake a holistic approach to casework including the assessment and investigation of homelessness in line with the council’s statutory duties. This role will be working in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
What you’ll need to succeed
As a Housing Solutions Officer you will have prior experience of preventing homelessness through a range of prevention initiatives. Be able to confidently provide advice and assistance of a range of housing options including accessing the private rented sector and also be able to conduct holistic assessments for housing applications, followed by being able to update and review personalised housing plans for customers.
