Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service (ADRS) are seeking to recruit Social Care Workers to join a multi-disciplinary and integrated team that delivers alcohol and drug care and treatment services within a recovery oriented system of care. Posts are in locations across the city. Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of delivery. Social care workers will be working as part of a large team dealing with complex service users with problematic drug and alcohol use and associated physical and mental health problems. Social care workers are expected to work closely with children and families, criminal justice services, homelessness services, acute services, and third sector organisations, amongst others.
Candidates should be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills. Candidates should have an awareness of the impact of drug and alcohol issues on service users and the wider community. Candidates should also have an understanding and commitment to recovery for individuals who experience difficulties with alcohol and drug issues.
