We are recruiting for a new quality assurance team to ensure all care home residents in Glasgow have full and comprehensive careplans in place with the aim of enhancing their care and quality of life. The team will work closely with the nursing team and ensure a quality assurance approach. This is an existing opportunity to join a new team at the beginning of it’s journey to support delivery of statutory responsibilities for care home residents and ensure every care home resident in Glasgow has an up- to-date care plan which reflects their needs. Social Care Workers will be responsible for screening and assessment of needs of Adults and older people. You will be expected to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team there is a strong focus on effective working with, HSCP staff and the third sector to ensure effective communication regarding service user and carers needs. You will manage a caseload with high demand and throughput, with the facility to work on an agile basis. You should have a knowledge and awareness of the effects of aging and disability on service users and their families, a flexible approach to service delivery, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

As Scottish Social Services Council registration is a statutory requirement for this post under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001, you must either be already registered or be registered within 6 months from the date you start in this post.
