An exciting opportunity has risen to join our team at Burnbrae Home. As part of our restructure, we are looking to recruit a new member of staff to support our nightshift.
Burnbrae is a 28 bedded residential care home supporting older adults who have a range of differing needs such as a mental health diagnosis, Dementia and/or frailty.
Our service is part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership where we work closely with other professionals within a multidisciplinary team. Burnbrae is a well-established care home with a highly experienced, motivated, and passionate team of staff. We endeavour to work together to ensure we provide a warm and welcoming environment focused on person-centred care for all who live within Burnbrae alongside a supportive place of work for our colleagues.
We are located near the centre of Falkirk within beautiful surroundings and with multiple accessible public transport options nearby.
Within our service, there are multiple learning opportunities for staff. We place importance on training, development, and opportunities to progress within a supportive environment.
It is essential that candidates have knowledge and experience of care. It is desirable that this experience is gained from working with older adults, particularly those who have a mental health diagnosis. The candidate should have good communication and interpersonal skills, versatility in their role, an eagerness to learn and develop, an ability to prioritise workload and time management, be a team-player alongside have experience of assessment, support planning, risk assessing and accurate case recording.
Moving and Handling training together with an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential as there are opportunities to undertake this qualification within the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership. The candidate must be able to register with the SSSC as a Practitioner in Care Home Services for older adults and hold or obtain the relevant qualification within the regulatory time scale. The successful candidate will also need to obtain and maintain a PVG scheme membership.
The candidate will work 9.5 hours per week which will include nights and weekends on a three weekly shift rota basis. There is also scope for the candidate to pick up over time.
If you feel you have the relevant skills, knowledge and attributes for this post and would like to work within our service where you could make a difference to someone’s life and lead a fulfilling career then please apply now.
