As a Social Care Practitioner, you will work as part of the care team delivering the highest standard of care in an environment where the service user is the centre of the service.

Within this role you will act as keyworker to a number of individual residents, contribute to the care planning process and ensure that all care practice in non-discriminatory and that residents’ beliefs and preferences are acknowledged and respected.

SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable 

A shift roster is in place for this role which requires evening and weekend working.

This position requires registration with the SSSC.  The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
