In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.
An exciting opportunity to join the team as a Social Care Officer (Waking Nights) has arisen, and we are looking for people with enthusiasm and resilience who have the right personal skills and experience to support children and young people.
You will work 35 hours per week on a rota which covers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our staff work on a planned rota basis, so you will always know when you are due to work.
You will be part of a team responsible for supporting our young people, using a trauma informed approach, overnight. You will promote our young people to feel safe, loved and cared for in a homely environment, you will support the young people to fulfil their potential be that attending school, college, accessing community activities and hobbies and ensuring that, when safe to do so, family time and links to friends and important people are maintained.
You will be supported by your managers and other professionals. You will receive regular reflective supervision to help you work effectively with children in your care.
