Your new role
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough are looking for 2 full time Social Care Lead Officer to work across Adults Social Care to cover 2 vacancies within their Hospital Team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are flexible, innovative and have a proven track record of partnership working, with a can-do approach. We are currently in the progress of implementation of the D2A process and it is very busy. We have vacancies within the hospital/intermediate care team which is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are flexible, innovative and have a proven track record of partnership working, with a can-do approach. You will be one of 6 managers who will support the Team Manager within the 7-day Hospital intermediate care team. You will work from various locations and will ensure the timely discharge of people from hospital or intermediate care settings. Weekend working may be required in the role. You will supervise staff on a day to day basis, work in partnership with NHS and the CCG and will have a strong customer focus. We will offer you: – Regular supervision Supportive Management direction Good Training Opportunities Supportive Health & Wellbeing . This role is 37 hour per week – full time 7 days service
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 years experience working with adults in a Senior Social Work Practitioner position and have experience of supervising staff or students. Ideally you will have experience working with and implementing D2A process.
