Your duties will include assisting in attending to the social, emotional and physical needs of residents and day care users so that each person is enabled to live as fulfilling and independent a life as possible.
You should have an understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities, the ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly and the ability to work as part of a team. You should also have SVQ Level II in Care (or equivalent), in the absence of this – you must have the ability to undertake and achieve this qualification – 36 months after registration with the SSSC.
The wearing and use of PPE is essential in this role.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Salary will start on the first point of the scale with annual incremental progression,
