South Lanarkshire Council is an ambitious, high performing organisation with a clear vision and programme of action which is designed to improve the lives and prospects of everyone in South Lanarkshire.
The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire.
In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.
South Lanarkshire Council is committed to securing better outcomes for children and young people who are looked after. All our children’s houses are all individually built and furnished to a high standard and provide rich living environments for the children and for the staff who work there. We are proud of the positive outcomes that are achieved and these are reflected in our Care Inspectorate reports.
The teams are well structured and there is a very low turnover of staff and a low sickness absence rate, which reflects the very good levels of support, supervision and professional development. You will be joining a responsive, progressive and innovative Social Work resource where children’s needs are central to policy, practice and partnership working.
