Requirements

We are currently recruiting Senior Practitioners to work in our locality Children and Family Teams across South Lanarkshire.

To apply for a Senior Practitioner post you will need to have extensive experience in working with children and families in a statutory setting. You will have knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and guidance together with an ability to assess and manage risk.

To apply for a Senior Practitioner post you must have a minimum 3-year post-qualifying experience, accompanied by:

• Evidence of a Post Graduate Qualification (Practice Teacher Award, PG in Child Protection or equivalent), or
• Extensive evidence of additional learning and development in contemporary childcare practice.
• Evidence of management of complex cases

These new Senior Practitioner roles will offer a route for career progression for Social Workers who want to continue to develop their career without becoming a line manager of other workers.
